My Story
Welcome to Calibrated Pathways! I'm so glad you're here.
I live in Silicon Valley, where, with my husband's support, I homeschool my 15 and 12-year-old boys. This work is my ikigai—the intersection of what the world needs, what I'm skilled at, and what I love. Calibrated Pathways grew from wanting every child to have what I want for my own.
From Tech to Motherhood
In 2000, I moved from Canada to Silicon Valley for a tech career, and thrived there for nearly 12 years. Then in 2010, I learned I was going to be a mom—and everything changed overnight. I knew nothing mattered more than my child's well-being, and my life's purpose shifted to raising my children with intention.
The Leap
Leaving my career meant real fear and doubt: Who am I without it? Can I do this? Mentorship from veteran homeschooling moms gave me a place to start, and step by step, I learned to trust my intuition.
What I've Learned
The anxiety so many of us feel often comes from one fear: that we're not enough for our children. I'm here to tell you—you are. You have what your children need, especially now. I've seen it again and again: clarity comes through caring mentors, humility about our blind spots, truly seeing our children, and trusting our God-given intuition.
My Calling
I've mentored homeschooling families informally for years. Calibrated Pathways is a way to pay that forward—walking alongside other mothers on their own path of intentional parenting and education. It's one of the hardest, most rewarding jobs there is, and I pray I can offer some encouragement along the way.
