My Story

Welcome to Calibrated Pathways! I'm so glad you're here. I'd love to share a little about myself and how I got here, so you can get a sense of who I am and how we might walk together on this meaningful path of intentional parenting and homeschooling.

I currently live in the vibrant Silicon Valley where, with my husband's support, I homeschool my 15 and 11-year-old boys.

This pursuit isn't just work for me—it's what the Japanese call ikigai, the intersection of what the world needs, what one is skilled at, and what one is passionate about. This calling to create Calibrated Pathways came from a deep passion for wanting all children to have what I want for my own.

My Journey to Motherhood

I didn't always dream of being a stay-at-home mom, and homeschooling certainly wasn't something I'd ever imagined. In 2000, I moved to Silicon Valley from Canada to pursue a career in tech. For nearly 12 years, I thrived in that fast-paced, exciting world.

But in 2010, when I learned I was going to be a mom, everything changed overnight. I felt a deep knowing that nothing mattered more than my child's well-being. Something inside me awakened, and my life's purpose became about raising my children with intention—walking alongside them as they grow into who they're meant to be.

The Leap of Faith

Switching gears completely meant sacrifices, fears, and doubts. Who am I without a career? Can I do this? How will I do this? As I leaned into motherhood and found mentors in other moms, things became clear. I began learning about intentional parenting while working on my own growth to become the mother I wanted to be.

Mentorship was foundational to my journey as I connected with veteran homeschooling mothers, taking it step by step and learning to trust my intuition.

What I've Learned

Through my own winding path, I've come to understand that the overwhelming anxiety and self-doubt often comes from a deeper place—the fear that we're not enough for our children.

And I'm here to tell you with certainty: you are enough.

You have everything within you that your children need. In fact, they need your steady presence now more than ever in these turbulent times.

I've seen how answers emerge when we have caring mentors, learn from our mistakes, stay humble to our blind spots, truly see our children for who they are, and find confidence in our God-given intuition as their parents.

My Calling

For years, I've mentored homeschooling families informally. The launch of Calibrated Pathways

feels like a natural progression—a way to pay it forward by walking alongside other mothers as they discover their own path of intentional parenting and education. Mothering is one of the most challenging and deeply rewarding jobs in the world, and a homeschooling mother's path is one of the hardest. I pray that I can bring some encouragement and support to you through Calibrated Pathways.
